Is my private key ever shared with the app or internet?

No. Your private key stays safely on the card and is only shown to you once when you set it up.
You can either:
a) Write it down on the provided sheet, or
b) Store it securely in sBox (a proprietary digital safe solution with multiple layers of encryption).

What if someone steals or copies my card?

Don’t worry – losing the card isn’t the real problem.
Your private key (seed phrase) is what protects your crypto. If you have it saved safely, you can simply buy a new card, set it up again, and continue using your wallet. The stolen or copied card won’t work without your fingerprint and seed phrase.

Can anyone intercept the NFC signal when I use the card?

No. For two main reasons:

  1. NFC only works at very short distances (about 4 cm).

  2. The card only turns on NFC after it recognises your fingerprint. No PINs or passwords are used.

Has the card been tested by a security company?

Yes. The fingerprint technology comes from IDEMIA, a world leader in security and identity solutions. The Serenity software was also audited by security experts in 2023/2024.

Can the card be hacked like some crypto hardware wallets (e.g. Ledger)?

Nothing is 100% unhackable, but serenity has reduced such probability through sAxess using very strong security, including multiple types of encryption, making hacking extremely difficult.

What if I lose my card? Can I get my crypto back?

Yes. As long as you have your seed phrase saved, you can always recover your wallet. The card is simply a secure way to use your crypto with your fingerprint.

Can I have backup cards?

Yes. You can register multiple cards as backups for the same wallet.

Can someone reset or take over my lost/stolen card?

No. The card only works with your fingerprint. If someone steals it, they can’t use it.

What happens if the app stops working or is discontinued?

Your wallet is independent. You can use your saved seed phrase on other apps like MetaMask or any crypto wallet to access your funds.

Is the app open source so I can check its code?

No. Serenity keeps it closed to prevent hackers from finding and exploiting vulnerabilities.

Can I use sAxess with MetaMask or other crypto apps?

Yes. You can import your existing MetaMask wallet into the sAxess app and use your card for added security.

Which blockchains does sAxess support?

Currently, it works with blockchains that use EVM (like Ethereum).

How is sAxess different from Ledger or Trezor?

  • Uses your fingerprint instead of PINs or passwords.

  • Works without USB – it’s a standalone NFC card.

  • Offers sBox for ultra-secure storage of your seed phrase.

  • Includes a unique succession feature (inheritance planning).

  • Keeps your identity private and your data secure without storing anything online.

Does Serenity have any access to my keys or funds?

No. You are the only one who has access.

Is my fingerprint data stored anywhere else?

No. Your fingerprint stays only on your card.

What happens if Serenity goes out of business?

Your wallet stays safe. Because sAxess is fully self-custodial, you always control your funds.

How long does the card last?

Up to 5 years.

How is sAxess better than a paper wallet?

  • Much higher security (paper can be lost or damaged).

  • Easier to use (no typing codes, just fingerprint).

  • Can be updated with new features, unlike paper wallets.

What if my card stops working due to a defect?

If it’s a manufacturing defect, it can be replaced. Your funds stay safe as long as you have your seed phrase.

What if there’s a proven security flaw in the card?

No such flaw has been found so far.
However, if a security flaw is ever discovered, Serenity will immediately activate emergency procedures to fix it and protect users.

If I lose my funds, will Serenity refund me?

No. Because you are the only one controlling your wallet and funds, Serenity cannot take responsibility for any losses.

What is your Refund & Exchange Policy?

You can ask for a refund within 30 days of your purchase. Returned items must be in the exact same condition as they were received and not used.

How do I track my Refund?

To track the status of your refund, kindly refer to your confirmation email that you have received from us.

How long does it take to get the Refund?

Once we receive your return, please allow us 3-5 business days for your refund to process. Refund amount will be automatically debited to the same form of payment originally used for purchase.
